How To Unplug When You’re on Vacation

Do you struggle to completely disconnect from work?

It’s super important to your family (and your mindset) to take the time to fully and intentionally unplug while you’re on vacation.

Watch the video below to learn how to unplug when you’re on vacation (with your family).

I’ve learned a few tricks on how to unplug while on vacation, during dinner time, during important events, and other important moments.

Follow this No-Nonsense Trick to Unplug (on vacation or anywhere)

Once you finally get on vacation, the question becomes, “how do you unplug?”.

There’s only one way and that is to literally unplug.

Here’s why I need help with being intentional about unplugging……

One reason…… I am incapable of really enjoying my vacation if I’ve got my cell phone in my hand.

So, the only way to really do it is to totally unplug.

Let Your Family Take Over (hold you accountable)

I have to tell you, sometimes I’m not capable of unplugging myself.

I have to ask for help from my wife or my kids.

And let me tell you something, there is no other powerful body on earth to hold you accountable on vacation than your kids.

If you want to be the best version of yourself and you want to be unplugged, just ask your kids to hold you accountable.

Create Consequences if You Can’t Unplug

If you really want to unplug, tell them if they catch you on your phone, that they can throw it in the lake.

Then you won’t be on the phone, or you’ll be diving in the lake, looking for the phone, but either way, you’ll be unplugged.

Here’s the thing, when you go on vacation it’s because you’ve worked hard to be there, to truly unplug, and just be in the moment.

I can promise you that I’ve never regretted being fully present with my family when I’m at a place like this out here with them.

So guess what? No phone, no laptop.

It’s a win-win.
